This past weekend Drs. Anthony Tran and Donna Haas and the Cedar Hill Lions Club volunteered their time to provide free eye exams for over 40 local school-aged children. Many of these children had extremely poor vision and were in desperate need of glasses, which were also provided at no charge by the Lions Club.
"It's a truly rewarding experience to see the joyous look of surprise on the children's faces when they realize it's a whole new world out there when they can see better," remarked Dr. Tran.
Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects such as cleaning up an area park to providing sight through vision screenings such as these, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.
